How does this calculator work?

Enter page views and the Page RPM you want to test to calculate the resulting revenue. The prefilled figures are examples, not market averages or forecasts for your site. Try different values to see how each assumption affects the result.

The formula

Revenue for the period = page views ÷ 1000 × Page RPM

What should you know?

  • The result uses the same currency as your RPM. No currency conversion is performed; the period is the one covered by your page views.
  • Page RPM is revenue per thousand page views, not per thousand ad impressions or visitors.
  • This hypothetical scenario does not guarantee Google AdSense approval, ad delivery or income. RPM varies with audience, season, content and advertiser demand.
  • When using RPM from your account, do not deduct fees already included in it again. Website operating expenses and taxes are not subtracted.

Common questions

Should I enter visits or page views?

Use page views consistent with the Page RPM definition. One visit may contain multiple page views, and ad impressions are a different metric.

What RPM should I use for my site?

There is no guaranteed rate for all sites. Use your actual data for the same period when available, or test a range of assumptions without treating them as a forecast from Google or this site.
